A clear, practical look at what the WS Randomized Dice Set actually contains, how the random selection works, and who should buy a mystery 7-piece set.
Quick answer
The WS Randomized Dice Set is a seven-piece handmade sharp edge set chosen at random from the brand's $69–$98 range. You get one D4, D6, D8, D10, D%, D12, and D20, with no repeated designs, so expect a coordinated surprise rather than a set you pick yourself.
What “random” actually means here
Random does not mean leftover or clearance stock. The listing states that every set is drawn from designs in the $69–$98 range and that no two sets in an order repeat. The brand also says it tries to make each random set look aesthetically pleasing as a whole, so the dice should read as a matched set rather than a jumble of unrelated pieces.
What you cannot do is choose the colorway, inclusion style, or number font. If matching a specific character or campaign palette matters to you, a random set is the wrong tool; buy a named design instead.
The wholesale minimum is the real catch
This listing is set up for wholesale orders, and the stated minimum order quantity is 5 units. That means one click does not get you a single mystery set. If you are a solo player or buying a gift, you will either need to split an order with friends or look for a single-set listing.
The tradeoff is straightforward: the per-set value is strong, but only if you can use or resell five sets. Groups, club organizers, and small shops are the natural fit here.
Handmade sharp edge dice need a quick reality check
Handmade sharp edge dice are finished by hand, so minor surface variation and small marks are normal rather than defects. They also deserve better treatment than a loose dice bag: store them separately to avoid chipping edges and roll them on a mat.
The listing does not specify the exact resin, stone, or metal material for random sets, and it does not list individual weights or dimensions. Treat those as unknown until the set arrives, and do not assume a specific material from the photos.
Randomized dice set FAQ
- What comes in the box?
- One handmade sharp edge set of seven dice: D4, D6, D8, D10, D%, D12, and D20. The design is chosen at random from the brand's $69–$98 range, and no two sets in an order repeat.
- Can I choose the color or style?
- No. The random selection is the point of the product. The brand says it tries to make each set look aesthetically pleasing overall, but you cannot request a specific colorway or inclusion. If you need a specific palette, buy a named design instead.
- How many sets do I have to buy?
- The listing is wholesale-only with a minimum order quantity of 5 units. There is no single-set option on this listing. Split an order with friends or your table before buying.
- Are the dice truly handmade?
- Yes, the listing describes them as handmade. Expect small finishing variations that are normal for handmade sharp edge dice, not factory-perfect uniformity. Store them separately and roll on a mat to protect the edges.
- Is this a good first sharp edge set?
- It can be, if you are comfortable with a surprise design and can meet the five-set minimum. If you want to compare specific designs first, start with a named set and add a random set later.
